Sika BituSeal T-140 SG (0°C) (SA) is a torch-on sheet waterproofing membrane that is flexible to 0°C. It is based on APP (atactic polypropylene) modified bitumen, reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric. It has a sand broadcast surface and the reverse is faced with polyethylene film to ease installation works.

• Waterproofing and damp-proofing of the exterior walls of basements against percolating water and damp soil
• Waterproofing of retaining walls
• Waterproofing on flat roofs under protective layers or ballast

Storage conditions /Shelf life

• 24 months from date of production. Store in dry conditions between +5°C to+35°C. Rolls must be stored in their original package, in vertical position andunder cool and dry conditions. They must be protected from direct sunlight, rain,snow and ice.

Application Method / Tools:
The cold applied bituminous primer shall be applied on the substrate for the first membrane layer as followings:
Application by brush, roller, or airless spray. Waiting time is dependent on the temperaturee, for the primer to complete evaporation. (Note: Priming is not required for the second and further membrane layers).
The membrane is fully bonded to the substrate by the torch-on method using agas torch. Unroll and position the membrane roll with the polyethylene film surface on the substrate. Roll out half a roll length, heating the membrane reverse with the gas flame until it melts the polyethylene film and bitumen mass, and allowing continuous unrolling. A bead of liquid bitumen must be visible on the underside of the roll. The torch-on membrane must be firmly pressed onto the substrate in order to avoid air entrapment using a special roller or heavy brush. Repeat this procedure with the second half of the roll.
All membranes must be overlapped by a min. 100 mm. The seams must be finished with a roller to prevent the formation of any gaps or voids.

Notes on application /Limitations:
Read the Sika bituminous membranes installation manual before installing the bituminous membranes.This product shall only be used by installers, skilled and experienced in the installation of torch-on bituminous membranes.Avoid damage to previously installed membranes during the torch-on of further layers of sheet membrane.The water tightness of the structure must be tested and approved after completion of the membrane installation works according to the requirements of the client’s specifications.

Application Details
Substrate Quality:
The surface must be dry and free of all contaminants such as oils, grease, coatings and surface treatments etc.Weak concrete or plate should be removed and surface defects such as honeycombed areas, blowholes, and voids must be fully exposed.Repairs to a leveling substrate, filling of blowholes/voids and leveling should be carried out using the appropriate product from the Sikafloor, Sikadur and Sikagard range of materials.

Substrate Preparation /Priming:
All surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and properly cured. Remove all loose materials mechanically, preferably with a wire brush. Iron and steel surface should be free of rust.Iron and steel surfaces should be treated with a suitable corrosion resistant coating, prior to application of Sika ® RainTite Kit.

Application Method:

• Step 1 Apply a generous base coat of Sika ® Rain Tite Kit by brush or roller.
• Step 2 Embed the Sika ® Rain Tite Kit Membrane into the base coat while it is still wet.Ensure that the membrane is thoroughly embedded and smooth out all air pockets and creases. Overlaps of the adjacent membrane must be a minimum of 50mm.
• Step 3 Immediately apply a second coat of Sika ® RainTite Kit while the base coat is still wet, to fully saturate the membrane from both sides.
• Step 4 When touch dry, apply a final top coat of Sika Rain Tite Kit to complete the application. Protect from rain until dry.

Surface Preparation
Clean all surfaces. Joint walls must be sound, clean, dry, frost-free, and free of oil and grease. Curing compound residues and any other foreign matter must be thoroughly removed. A roughened surface will also enhance bond. Install bond breaker tape or backer rod to prevent bond at base of joint.

Sika Cracksil Arylic Paste is a single pack, acrylic based, ready to use putty for filling the cracks on internal and external plastered surfaces

Uses:
Ready to use crack filling paste for internal & external surface cracks

Application Method:

• Fine hair line cracks must be widened with ‘V” groove up to 1 mm minimum and then filled
• For filling Sika Cracksil Acrylic Paste on the internal surface, existing POP or®Sika Wall Décor (wall putty) must be removed till plaster surface is exposed.
• For porous surfaces, apply primer coat prepared with Sika Cracksil Acrylic Paste and water in 1:1 proportion over the crack.
• Fill Sika Cracksil Acrylic Paste when the surface is tacky and not dried completely.
• Press Sika Cracksil Paste firmly into the crack with a spatula or putty knifes and level with the surface
• Care must be taken to avoid formation of cavities or bubbles during application.
• Allow it set for 24 hours and then apply another coat of Sika Cracksil Acrylic Paste in case of sag or depression
• Further POP or Sika Wall Décor (wall putty) application can be taken up once it is fully dry
• For best results allow Sika Cracksil Acrylic Paste to cure for 7 days

Cleaning of Tools
Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.Hardened / cured material can be removed mechanically.

Notes on Application /Limitations

• Pre-test for over paintability and paint compatibility are recommended.
• Colour deviations may occur due to chemicals, high temperature, UV-radiation. A change in colour does not influence the technical and protective performance of the product.
• Do not use Sika Cracksil Acrylic Paste as glass sealer, in floor joints, in sanitary joints, on marble, natural stone, in joints with permanent water immersion, in cracksmore than 5mm wide and cracks in POP/Painters’ putty.
• Sika Cracksil Acrylic Paste is not recommended for cracks in structural load bearing members, filling expansion joints or on cracks appearing at the junctions of masonry and concrete in civil engineering structures (e.g.-column and wall junction, lintel and overlying masonry junction, etc).For this purpose use only Sikaflex -Construction (J) which is a polyurethane based sealant and overcoat itwith Sikaflex -11FC white adhesive before painting.
• Close the container tightly after application and prevent contact of material with air while not in use to prevent curing and hardening of material.

• Used as a primer for the application on asbestos, brick, false ceiling, concrete surface, cementitious renderings, wall putty , other surfacing, etc.

• The primer may become high viscous due to change in ambient conditions like temperature and humidity that might affect the consistency and increase consumption of the primer.
• Under such situation, a site modification by adding water is recommended by Sike.
• In order to achieve application friendly consistency of the product.
• The dilution is fixed on the basis of site trials.
• However, the above table may be followed as a guideline.
